Snowmelt combines with Spring rains to jump up the flows of the Hudson to Class IV levels. It’s a thrill a minute in big water as rafters negotiate rapids like Blue Ledge, The Narrows, Big Nasty and more! Spring trips begin in early April and are run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with most trips falling on the weekend days.

With some of the deepest snowpack in years – don’t cash it in just yet! There is plenty of Spring Celebrations and Events coming to the snow this weekend! Garnet Hill is celebrating GarnetPalooza – great music, food, beer and free skiing! Also end of the year sale on XC Ski clothing and equipment. Gore Mt. has a great fun event on Saturday – Straight Brook Saturday – with great prizes and Take your kid skiing on Sunday (19 and under ski free with paying adult, discount Spring rates BTW!)
Backcountry Ski Shuttle is On for Saturday, April 6th. Shuttle is to Barton Road and the pick-up location is at Beck’s Bar (Peacful Valley Road, on the way to Gore) at 10:30AM, also a pick-up at the Ski Bowl (health center side) at 10:45 AM.

Check in to the Straight Brook Lodge Saturday morning between 9:30 and 10:30am to register for this fun event! Be on the summit and ready to sign up when registration opens- we’re capping this event at a maximum of 100 participants.
