AtkinsonFamilyHoned in the iron-laden foothills of the Adirondack’s Western reaches, the Atkinson Family Bluegrass Band has a sound reverberating with the traditions of Bill Monroe’s music, while at the same time incorporating new grooves and new tones. This band swings and drives through Stanley Brothers-style mountain songs about life in the rural country, bitter bluegrass hollers about lost love and betrayal, gospel songs lamenting lost souls and spooky minor key murder ballads. In addition to performing a range of bluegrass standards and contemporary tunes from Del McCoury, Gillian Welch, Iris Dement and the Grateful Dead, the band churns straight ahead with its freight train rhythm pulse on a host of original songs.

Tree Tops – Tree Tops is a secluded, three-story home nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks. Tree Tops can easily accommodate groups of up to twelve people, with five-bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a loft, and nine total beds (three king size beds and six twin beds). Lookout (pictured above) is a large, private home situated on several acres of manicured property surrounded by Adirondack forest. This home is located less than ten minutes from Gore Mountain, downtown North Creek, and many other area attractions. The standout feature of this beautiful and unique home is the 24′ x 12′ heated indoor pool.  This property is set up to handle groups of up to eighteen people, features a three-car garage and can handle most handicap accessible needs on the first floor. Lookout boasts nine bedrooms, four full bathrooms, thirteen total beds, a full kitchen, wrap-around patio, oversized dining table, and wireless internet access.  Lookout is also a popular wedding and family reunion venue, with adequate sleeping accommodations for large groups and ample yard space to host your event. As Fly Fishing Outfitters, here in the Adirondacks, we are dedicated to float-fishing the Hudson and the Schroon rivers. We also fly fish Thirteenth Lake during the Hex hatch in the evenings. If you’re into action we also do evening floats for Bass on Alligator pond. The season runs from late April ’till the middle of October.  Spring 2024 –Streamside fly shop is open full time.  10 am to 4pm, seven day a week, for now. We have casting clinics now and floats as soon as water is at floating levels.  Also we have Adirondack antiques and many Adirondack style gifts.
