History Days Johnsburg 2024: Five Fun Filled Days

Johnsburg’s History Weekend – Friday-Sunday, September 13-15, 2024.

Friday, September 13th, 4:00-7:00 p.m.
Graveyard Walk at the Mill Creek Cemetery on Garnet Lake Road Honoring Rev. Enos Putnam, Nathan Davis, Katie Cross & Henry Flansburg Free Admission. Refreshments will be served. Donations welcome.

Saturday, September 14th, 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The Johnsburg Historical Society will host the Town Historian’s crafters & author exhibits as well as offer a barbecue 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at the Robert & Electa Waddell House Museum, 2363 State Route 28, Wevertown, NY
2:00-4:00 p.m. The North Creek Railroad Depot Museum Adirondack Blue Grass Band
Guided Tours, Platform Talks, Costumed Characters, 5 Railroad Place, North Creek. NY
Special Revolution Rail Bike Ride “Teddy Roosevelt’s Ride to the Presidency” to benefit the Museum
7:00 p.m.  At The Tannery Pond Center, 218 Main Street, North Creek, NY
Documentary Film “My Native Air”, About Charles Evan Hughes, Presidential Candidate in 1916 by Maury Thompson, Producer.
Live interview with Maury by Glenn Pearsall. More information at www.tannerypond.org.
Sunday, September 15th, 2 p.m. The Tannery Pond Center Gem Radio Theatre presents a radio play “Leaves Torn Asunder”
based on Glenn Pearsall’s book of the same title which chronicles how the Civil War impacted the lives of many in this area.

The Depot Museum, Gem Radio and JHS events are all supported by a Town of Johnsburg Occupancy Tax grant. The Graveyard Walk is also supported by Northern Septic. 
Donations are welcome at all events.
The Johnsburg Historical Society, North Creek Railroad Depot Museum & The Tannery Pond Center are all non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. Donations are tax exempt to the extent allowed by law.
