Wednesday Watercolors – Still Life Painting – for Beginner and Intermediate Artists
Still life can include small objects that are meaningful to you! Whether you’ve recently taken up watercolors, or have been painting for years, it’s always great to learn from each other. Kate will lead some short group lessons each week, followed by time to work on paintings of your own choosing.
When: 5 Wed. 6-8 pm, Sept. 25, Oct. 2,9,16,23 (plus more Wed. Watercolors dates in Nov and Dec!)
Who: adults, and teens 12 and up
Fee: $100 for all 5 weeks, or $25 per class ~pay when you can come! (plus $25 material fee… or bring your own supplies!)

FUSED GLASS SUNCATCHERS AND ORNAMENTS  A collaboration with Kate Hartley and Greg Tomb of ADK Glassblowing!
Create suncatchers, coasters or ornaments with bright and iridescent glass pieces, shaped to your own design! We’ll gently glue them in place, then Greg will fire them in his glassblowing studio. Pieces can be picked up a week after the class.
When: Thurs., Sept. 26, Session 1: 3-5 pm,  Session 2: 5-8 pm
Who: adults, and ages 10 and up
Fee: $85 per person, includes all materials and firing!!!

Linoleum Block Printing with Diane Castle Babcock – Reduction printing is a technique developed by Pablo Picasso.
Rather than using a separate block for each color, Picasso used one piece of linoleum, which he carved and printed in stages to create a multi-color print.  In this hands-on workshop, Diane Castle Babcock will demonstrate and teach the reduction printing process. She will show how to transfer a drawing onto the block, use cutters safely, as well as illustrate color mixing and printing techniques. Diane has used this process to create her artwork for forty-five years. Students will create a three-color 4 x 6 inch linoleum block print with her guidance.  Diane will supply all the tools and materials necessary to create the print. Students should come to class with a 4 x 6” landscape drawing using two colors plus white in the design.
When: Fri., Oct. 4, 12:30-4:30 pm
Who: adults, and teens 12 and up (Sign up early, Max. of 8 students)
Fee: $105, includes all materials and instruction

Drawing Workshop – for Beginner and Intermediate Artists
Expand your drawing skills while exploring many different approaches and materials.
When: Thursdays, 3 weeks – 3-5 pm., Oct 3,10, 17,
Who: adults, and ages 10 and up
Fee: $15 per class ~pay when you can come! (plus $5 material fee… or bring your own supplies) You’ll get a discount if you continue with watercolor still life workshops…

Ongoing…Open Studio ~ Mosaics and Needle Felting!
If you’ve seen the North Creek Mosaic Project and been inspired, this class is for you! You’ll explore this ancient art form through creating your own mosaic house numbers, TABLETOPS, frames, pictures, trays or stepping stones…
We also have Needle Felting materials (google it and get inspired!), so Open Studio participants can try out either artform!!!
When: on Thursday evenings, 6:00-8:30 p.m., ongoing, join any time, come when you can!
Who: Adults and Teens, beginner to intermediate
What to bring: just yourself, a snack and beverage
Fee: $20 per class, includes most materials, a variety of mosaic bases available, or bring your own!
