April/May 2024 ~ New Classes at H’ART, 276 Main, North Creek

Wednesday Watercolors  for Beginner and Intermediate Artists
Whether you’ve recently taken up watercolors, or have been painting for years, it’s always great to learn from each other. Kate Hartley will lead some short group lessons each week, followed by time to work on paintings of your own choosing. Each class will begin with a 15 minute drawing lesson, followed by still life, landscapes, and even “portraits” of our favorite animals… come to any sessions, or all 6 weeks!
When: Wednesdays, 6-8 pm, Mar. 27- May 1. Who: adults, and ages 10 and up. Fee: $100 for all 6 weeks, or $20 per class ~pay when you can come! (plus $25 material fee… or bring your own supplies!)

Eclipse Glasses Party – Decorate Your Own!
Get ready to enjoy the April 8th eclipse in style! We have a supply of white, paint-your-own NASA-approved eclipse glasses, (as well as some pre-printed ones). Join us for glasses decorating – painting, collage – Eclipse snacks and more!
When: Friday, April 5, 5-7 pm. Who: adults, teens, children (under 10, bring an adult). Fee: $5, includes glasses… Pre-register to reserve your glasses! (max. 12)

Earth Day~ Free Mosaic Activity for All Ages
Recycle your jar and bottle lids into mini-mosaics… and will keep these non-recyclable pieces out of the trash! The project will take 30 minutes to 1 hour, so come any time during workshop hours.

Studio Saturdays for all ages: 3-4:30 pm each Saturday.
Join Kate to create small masterpieces… and go home with a finished piece of artwork! $20 per person, materials provided. (Ages 8 and under, bring your favorite adult!)

Ongoing…Open Studio ~ Mosaics and Needle Felting!  If you’ve seen the North Creek Mosaic Project and been inspired, this class is for you! You’ll explore this ancient art form through creating your own mosaic house numbers, frames, boxes, trays or stepping stones…

We also have Needle Felting materials (google it and get inspired!), so Open Studio participants can try out either artform!!!
When: on Thursday evenings, 6:00-8:30 p.m., ongoing, join any time, come when you can! Who: Adults and Teens, beginner to intermediate. What to bring: just yourself, a snack and beverage. Fee: $10 per class, includes most materials, a variety of mosaic bases available, some at cost, or bring your own!
