Event Details

Gem Radio Theatre and the Johnsburg Historical Society are pleased to present the fourth Graveyard Walk at Union Cemetery. The event will be held live this year on Friday, September 10, at the Cemetery on Main Street, North Creek.
Our local cemeteries are home to beloved neighbors, family members, and community friends. We honor them by sharing their stories, many with historical connections and significance. We are proud to continue this annual tradition.
Author Gloria Waldron Hukle will be onsite before the first tour to discuss and share her series of books that tell the story of the Waldron family from their arrival in New Amsterdam in the 1700’s.
Due to the recent rise in covid numbers, there will be no dessert reception at the Baptist Church this year. Limited space is available for the two tours; 6:00 and 7:30. To reserve tickets, contact Robin at [email protected] or call 518-251-3338.

Suggested ticket donation of $5.00 will be collected at the gate. Bring a flashlight if you come for the 7:30 tour. We will be walking on uneven ground through the cemetery, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Please park your car along Main St. or Holcomb St. and safely make your way to the Baptist Church to check in. There will be no vehicle access to the Cemetery that evening.
The Johnsburg Historical Society will be holding an Open House at their new home in Wevertown, the historic Robert & Electa Waddell house. The North Creek Depot Museum will be open from noon until 4:00 pm. They will celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Roosevelt’s Night Ride to the Presidency by holding platform talks over the weekend.
