Friday, Dec 1st at 5:30. This year we will be lighting up community trees at both ends of the business district; at the Tannery Pond Center and across the street from the Phoenix Inn. Additionally, the Depot Museum Team under the direction of Linda Quintavalle will light up the night with animated lighted holiday light features. The North Creek station, the Owens’ House, and the Riverfront Park Pavillion will all be fully dressed in holiday style. Lights will remain on through the holiday season.

At the official ceremony at Tannery Pond Community Center the Johnsburg Pop Singers will entertain with traditional Holiday Songs outside at Tannery Pond Center, under the direction of Katy Ashe

Three of our community pastors will lead us in a nondenominational candlelight service followed by our elected officials who will offer a few words of hope and encouragement, and community. To the singing of “Oh Christmas Tree” by The Pop Singers, the official lighting of the newest community tree will be lit.

In collaboration with Gem Radio Theater, the Depot will also present Mrs. Claus and her Rein “Dears’ who will perform “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” plus a short bell musical routine outside.
