New Classes at H’ART – Watercolor Painting and Drawing for Beginner and Intermediate Artists

Watercolor for Beginner and Intermediate Artists
Join local artist and teacher, Kate Hartley in learning about light and color! Learn the basics of watercolors in a fun, relaxed atmosphere ~ Realism, color mixing, basic drawing techniques and the “tricks” of capturing light on paper will be emphasized. We’ll look at the work of watercolor “Masters” for inspiration.

Whether you have some painting experience, or have always just wanted to try, this class is for you!
Combine this class with Drawing and get a discount!
When: Saturdays, 6 weeks – 3 to 5 p.m.; Apr. 29, May 6, 27, June 10, 17 and 24 (each class is a separate lesson)
Who: adults, and teens 12 and up  Fee: $105, or $20 per class (pay when you can come!)
(plus $25 material fee… or bring your own painting supplies!).  Come for Drawing Class too, for only $5 more per class!

Drawing for Beginner and Intermediate Artists
In this series of individual lessons, you will experience many different approaches in creating two-dimensional artwork. Perspective, contour, composition, proportion and shading will be emphasized, through both group and individualized projects. Students will explore india ink, pencil, charcoal, eraser drawings, within an “open studio” environment.
Teens and adults are welcome… and no artistic “skill” is needed!
When: Saturdays, 6 weeks –
1 to 2:30 p.m.; Apr. 29, May 6, 27, June 10, 17 and 24 (each class is a separate lesson)
Who: adults, and teens 12 and up
Fee: $15 per class (pay when you can come!)
