While we have been on pause these last few months, the wonderful exhibit of oil paintings "Painting in Place" by Elizabeth MacFarland has been hanging in Widlund Gallery. But you will have the opportunity to see it in person as we are preparing to reopen this Wednesday! And here is a short excerpt of a longer video to celebrate the exhibit and reopening - see the full version at tannerypondcenter.org/myevent/gallery-elizabeth-macfarland/. The wonderful music accompanying the video is also composed and performed by Elizabeth MacFarland.

Tannery Pond Community Center will reopen with guidelines in place for the health and safety of our visitors and staff. More details to be announced shortly...

Get out there! Rafting with AROWith our first full week of rafting in the books, we’d like to take the opportunity to share some of our recent reviews:

“This was our first time rafting in the Adirondacks and it was a phenomenal experience! Ace was a spectacular guide and very knowledgeable about the local terrain and history of the surrounding area. He navigated us with ease and amplified the experience with his affable demeanor. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to take on more challenging courses next time via the Moose or Black Rivers! Per one of the guests in our party, this was the "most fun" she's ever had in her life. We also really appreciated the commitment to sanitation of the equipment, given that most us in the group work in the hospital and have witnessed our share of dismissive businesses regarding safety procedures. We couldn't have asked for a better way to complete our weekend Adirondacks trip and definitely look forward to future adventures with ARO!”

“We appreciate all the hand sanitizer everywhere and the staff always wearing masks which made all of us feel very safe under the circumstances of COVID. We look forward to coming back for more adventures with ARO! Thanks again!”

“I was very comfortable with the COVID precautions and thought they were safely done. MADD DOG made the trip exciting and fun!”

“With all the COVID regulations and restrictions, you guys did a great job! lots of smiles in our group, thanks.”

Our managerial staff and guides tirelessly planned to make sure guests were provided with a positive and safe rafting experience under new COVID-19 guidelines. It has shown to be a collective effort on our end, but also a huge commitment from our guests. We are stoked to be doin’ what we do!
